Engineering works for the construction of human welfare and safety

Release time:2019-01-25

Today, the world faces problems of energy, the environment, health care, health care, education, transportation, food and aging. How to deal with these problems and ensure the safety and well-being of mankind? It needs to be driven by social innovation. The concept of future urbanization needs overall planning, while the development of various innovations and technologies needs overall planning.

Considering that the original meaning of innovation is a new combination of "creation", the concept of "co-creation" (open innovation) is indispensable in social innovation. In order to strengthen ties in the humanities, social sciences and other fields, new systems will emerge for exchanges and integration between fields, if necessary. For this reason, brain science is becoming increasingly important. This is because the brain is the public information processor for the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

Over the years, a variety of approaches have been used in the hope of generating key synergies in measurement, analysis and control technologies. In this work, it is most urgent to ensure that information and communication technologies (ICT) are disseminated to every area of social infrastructure. Moreover, the connection between science and engineering created by the life sciences is a new frontier in the 21st century, such as brain science and regenerative medicine and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS), etc.

Minutes of board meeting of the international academy of engineering and technology.

The members of the board of governors of the international academy of engineering and technology (CAETS) expressed their appreciation to me at the opening of the CAETS congress in Mexico City in 2011 for the assistance and care provided to Japan during the March 11, 2011 east Japan earthquake. After the earthquake, many Japanese engineers, including the author himself, had to rethink our way of thinking: does material prosperity guarantee human happiness? What is most important to us? What is the ultimate goal of the project? What is the real goal of the project?

Reconstruction in northeast China

On March 11, 2011, a tsunami completely destroyed many towns along Japan's northeastern Pacific coast, killing nearly 20,000 people. Reconstruction in coastal disaster areas has been slow, though for years. This fully demonstrates that under the guidance of the difficulties in the new type of urbanization, the focus will be on "human safety and well-being".
